the MH12 pro and MH25 pro have the same emitters, same modes, same controls, same battery
the MH12 pro heats up VERY fast because of its size. the 1000…and something… lumen setting on the MH25 pro doesn’t get very hot because it has significantly more surface area to dissipate the heat it still gets a little warm though
if you can only have one, go for the MH25 pro just for the heat dissipation

If you can only have one, I think the L16 is a better choice than either of those Nitecores.

1, L16v2 2.5 MH25 Pro 42. MH12 Pro
And I own two of each

I don’t think a direct comparison is really appropriate. The MH12 Pro has a straight body and fits reasonably comfortably in a pants pocket. The other two have considerably larger heads and most people won’t carry them that way.
