Ok,I get that this thing has been “reset” and no longer recognises famous faces (I didn’t realise a law had been passed to not use them btw)…So,just a simple question…is this something that in time will get back to where we were a few weeks ago on the previous version, where it would recognise famous faces instantly or is there now something built into this model that prohibits it from doing that?..trying to recreate famous people on this new version (if that’s your thing) via prompts is fairly soul-destroying…just seem to keep getting the exact same face.
Okay so now it can’t recognize even Taylor Swift and some other faces it was able to earlier. The dev is deliberately screwing the model over
There’s no law
So how come so many people on here say it’s “not legal” whenever anyone mentions it?..Ok,so hopefully sooner rather than later this updated version will get back to being somewhere as good as it used to be…?
They’re training the model at a very basic level so hopefully they’ll add celeb LORAs in future
Here’s hoping…just feels like it’s gone beyond backwards on the celeb side of things…have tried & tried to recreate the faces i’m after but as I said previously, just keep on getting the same female face time after time (wish i’d stocked up on creating on the previous version)…the site is great for creating random images but has become pretty much useless if you’re tying to create images “based” on famous faces (even obscure actors).
It’s way better at doing certain things, I’m impressed overall, but it is strange that I can’t tell it to render a person that looks like somebody famous, just because that’s the easiest way to get a certain look. It can render presidents, that’s about it.
There is a new law (executive order or bill…not sure which) in the U.S. that makes ai generated explicit photos of a person without their consent illegal. Basically an ai revenge porn ban. I think devs of t2i generators are taking precautions to prevent legal action.
They are extreme and unnecessary precautions. It punishes everyone for what a few might do. So just punish the few. That’s justice. Punishing everyone is unjust.
I’m confused by this as well. The law is the take it down act. It does not make it illegal to generate images of famous people. It makes it illegal to post nude images of them without consent only if they request it taken down. So there’s no reason here that the law should be limiting the ability to generate faces for personal use. Other platforms like civitai have also removed famous people. It doesn’t make any sense, it’s an extreme knee jerk reaction.
Still trying to figure out why this new version can’t recognise famous faces?..have just tried asking for Dolly Parton…it obviously knows who i’m on about as the outfit & hairstyle are exactly like hers (without any prompts from me btw)…but I keep on getting the same female face that keeps appearing on every person i’m trying to recreate,no matter how much facial detail I put in…is there some sort of fault with this new version?..or is there something blocking users from getting the results they want…How did the old version know how to create images of anyone famous (or even not that famous)…did it search the internet & come up with suggestions?..can’t this new version do that?
