Smoked sausage sandwiches with provolone. Escabeche and pickled sweet peppers from last year when a neighbor gave me pounds of surplus peppers.

Cost per person: $6.03 not including any mustard or picked peppers. But, as you can see, this is an unreasonable serving size. One sausage per person with the commercial pasta salad would be $3.34 Can you get this anywhere? Maybe?

Did I misunderstand something? Three hot dogs per person is not an “unreasonable serving size”. One isn’t enough. Two is reasonable, three is large but normal. You don’t start getting unreasonable territory until after around 4-5+ sausages per person, especially with side dishes.

These are not hot dogs. These are short kielbasas. An inch thick around each. It’s basically a pound of sausage for one person

Diameter or circumference? Either way, that’s not really any bigger than either your average jumbo dog, so my point still stands.

It kinda doesn’t though. That is substantially bigger than even the biggest hot dog that I would consider a normal size. You have to really mean JUMBO for your comparison to make any sense, and at that point you can’t use the serving size conventions of hot dogs anymore.
