I really wish we would stop using the term “deporting” for situations like this. That is not what’s happening here. “Rendition” and “exile” would be far more accurate.

Deportation infers that they didn’t belong there to begin with. You can’t deport a naturally born citizen, and we have another word for which is considered much more cruel: exile.
Might be a language barrier thing but the difference is pretty substantial imo, and I am tired of letting these chuds rework the narrative with their particular choice of words.

Deportation is what happened to the Jews and minorities that got sent to Auschwitz. And if you’re calling it mass deportation I don’t think you are trying to hide the cruelty anymore. As a native english speaker, I fully agree. Exile is something that happens to the rich and powerful, when they fall out of favor. It does not at all connote what’s going on here. Deportation is far more apt.
