So to all of you that wonder what clothes to wear to appear more feminine, I have found a quite good method:

Just look what cis girls wear. Literally, just look at them and try to learn what style they use and try to adopt it. This way I learned more about women’s fashion than watching any of the guides I found online. Sadly I have not been able to adopt a lot of this knowledge into my wardrobe due to clothes being expensive, me being insecure about what I can wear outside (I used to (and still do) always wear simple clothing, so its hard as hell to find something that I could see myself wearing outside, even tho I think all of those flower skirts and similar stuff looks cool as hell) and me being to lazy to go to a second hand store to get some stuff (I will report back when I managed to do that).

watching old episodes of What Not To Wear can be super helpful. They get nicer in the later seasons too it’s difficult not to be put off a little by the gimmick but if you can stomach it the fashion advice specifically about fitting clothes to your body type is timeless and invaluable

Yeah, this is the way. I like to browse pinterest too, although that tends to throw up some more “out there” ideas.

One thing to bear in mind as you build a wardrobe is whether the items you are adding will work with your existing clothes as an outfit. And of course that works as a source of inspiration too.

Might just be my current mental mood, but lately I feel like nothing I’ve been trying on has been right. Doesn’t help that I’ve got the physique of a power lifter

Girl, get some tights. My quadzilla gravel cyclist legs look like thick thighs saving lives in a pair of yoga pants. Get the ones with the v cross at the abdomen and look like a lower body goddess. Top it off with a nice longline sports bra or a crop top and throw a camp wrap or something over your shoulders. Own that body you built and make it look good for you!

I also think it could be useful to ask yourself: “What about her clothes makes me see her as a girl? How is that differeny than what I wear?” when seeing what cis girls are wearing.

Turns out if you were a band shirt, jeans, and hoodie type you just need to replace the jeans with a midi or maxi skirt and it still works!
