Word is that Mehmet Ali (our U21s manager) is being considered by Brentford for their open manager position.
It will suck to lose him, but good for him that he’s in the mix for such a big step-up. If he does leave for that position then the best of luck to him (except against us).
So… Sell Martinelli and bring in Rodrygo? Or keep Martinelli and bring in someone like Madueke instead?
I don’t have a very strong opinion either way, but I think I’d rather keep Martinelli. He’s still young and hasn’t done that bad. And I feel like any shortcomings from last season were more due to lack of support or on the left. Plus selling him and bringing in sometime like Rodrygo might unsettle the squad a bit.
I don’t feel that strongly about it but also like… Rodrygo is one of those players I feel like if you could get the chance to you sign.
I also don’t feel strongly either way. But I do have a soft spot for him and want to see him succeed under us.
I also agree that last season was a bit of an anomaly in that I don’t feel like we had a proper fully fit and firing squad due to injuries, uspensions and fatigue.
Hopefully our new incoming players can help unlock the left side as well to try get the best out of him.

With each day that passes I’m getting more and more excited about us signing Eze. He’s got that X factor of pulling off unpredictable and brilliant things on the pitch. And he can play on the left wing, right central mid, or left central mid. And of course, there’s the sentimental aspect since he was in our Academy until we let him go and broke his heart. But once a gunner always a gunner. Let’s bring him home.
