Is this really that weird? I feel like I have been to work meetings with more intensity. Also my read on it was that Zelensky was super annoying. The way he interrupted Trump and Vance all the time even though they are in charge of the situation and location. I know Trump does it too, but dude that’s not how you handle this situation. You’d think that Zelensky would know that. Any middle manager in corporate America would handle it with more grace. Sheesh

This isn’t middle management. This was trump and vance acting like children towards our allies. This was trump and vance and maga showing they’re putins cock sleeve. It’s crazy how much you trump supporters will lick the taint and swallow the balls just to try and make trump look competent.

Trump and Vance are russian assets and should be tried for treason.

The way he interrupted Trump and Vance

He interrupted when Vance was literally telling Zelensky that he didn’t kiss the ring enough during a live fucking press conference. Literally.

He interrrupted when Vance said that he watched a few news reports and therefore that gave him the right to dictate how Zelensky handles the war.

They were trying to turn Zelensky into Trump’s cuck and Zelensky wouldn’t stand for it.

He could have waited until they finish talking and say exactly what he was going to say. It came out unprofessional. Not that Trump is professional, but Trump is a Trump and in the end Zelensky was there to ask for support. Instead he tried to demand it. Dumb.

I’m sorry. A lie should be called out immediately, not allowed to be inserted into the discussion by the awful shithead delivering said lie. What you’re asking Zelinsky to do here is fight with both hands tied behind his back, for ‘decorum’. That’s bullshit and you know it. Zelensky called Trump and Vance out on their bullshit. I don’t think he gives two shits about some rando on the internet and their belief on what the ‘proper’ way to deal with Trump’s bullshit is. IMO, he did what he had to do, And now he needs to pivot away from the USA for support because we did the awful thing and elected the Shitgibbon TWICE.

Oh my God. Zelensky was there to negotiate the deal that he himself has proposed. He was just sucking so hard at his job as a politician that he couldn’t ducking do it properly. Being righteous and all means absolutely nothing at that level.

If he just kept it under control, the press would barely mention the conference, he would have proceeded to get security guarantees behind the closed doors and people would have stopped dying.

Right. If you believe this, I really can’t help you. It’s like you watched a different video than I did. Trump and Vance lied like fucking rugs in this, and baited the fuck out of Zelensky. But gotta keep that decorum to satisfy some rando on the internet. I’d love to say what I find you to be, but the mods would come down on me like they should be coming down on you for your other comments. But looking at your downvotes compared to downvotes to what you’re replying to? I think that stands on its own. ;)

I didn’t know what comments you are reading, but so far I’m the one being personally attacked. I don’t care about downvotes or about being banned. As Rick said, your boos mean nothing, I have seen what makes you cheer. Just because everybody refuses to see the truth, it doesn’t mean that it’s not truth. And the truth is that Zelensky is incompetent at his job and that’s the only reason this negotiation has failed. By the way, he was the one who asked for this meeting through macron. He never should have come and would be in better position. He understands it himself which is why he posted his pathetic xitter comment trying to restart the convo with Trump and will probably succeed at that.

If you feel you’re being attacked, report the attacks, and the mods MAY remove them. They ride us on the Left far harder than they ride the people coming in from outside and pushing conservative memes like the idea that Zelensky is incompetent here in this channel. Maybe you’ll get a few of us silenced. :)

I don’t normally report things like this because I want everyone to see what is going on here. Number of upvotes on personal attack comments tells me a lot about this community too.

He could have waited until they finish talking and say exactly what he was going to say. It came out unprofessional.

So he was just supposed to sit there and say nothing while Vance dresses him down like a cuck for the world to see?

World leaders don’t do that. Macron didn’t let Trump finish when Trump was lying, and neither did Stammer. Zelensky shouldn’t be expected to do it either.

Not that Trump is professional, but Trump is a Trump

That is absolutely no excuse. Plus, it was Vance who started it. He knows better, and chose to insult Zelensky anyway.

and in the end Zelensky was there to ask for support.

Asking for support does not and should not require the political equivalent of having to go on live television and beg mommy and daddy for a few table scraps while they tell you that you aren’t being thankful enough for being allowed to sit at the adults table in the first place.

Their whole purpose was to make Zelinsky come over and kiss the ring, and then embarrass him in front of the world stage. They had Russian media there, but AP and Reuters were banned. MTG’s husband asked why the man didn’t wear a suit. And Vance and Trump just kept dressing him down over and over again. The whole point was to embarrass the man on the world stage to please almighty Putin.

Instead he tried to demand it. Dumb.

The man stood up for his country, and refused to turn himself into one of Trump’s cucks. He was perfectly willing to kiss the ring until they decided that he needed to be humiliated too.

Yeah, nah my take was Zelenskyy was frustrated to be there, coddling up to putins peppers while his people are being killed. He went from having a trusted reliable partner to someone who’s parroting Kremlin talking points, and implying that it was Ukraines fault in the matter of months. He’s not a middle manager, they are both their respective countries leaders.

Well he sucks as a leader. Instead of negotiating ,he throws hissy feet. What a small thing to say thanks guys what a wonderful administration and then have a real discussion behind closed doors. Instead he just put his country in terrible position. This was so ducking predictable. He could have salvaged it so many times but he chose to be stubborn and now his people will pay for it. That’s right: it was in essence his political career vs lives of people. He chose his career. I know those are Ukrainian lives so you don’t care about them, but to me that was the height of idiocy. I hope Zelensky is remembered as a murderer. He had a choice to negotiate surrender in 2022 and he had a choice today. He just did what was convenient for him instead.

Him not puckering out is bad for Ukraine. His alliance with us was tenuous at best after Trump got in office, but now he’s risking to lose it completely just because he’s a bad negotiator. There were so many opportunities to do this better even without saying to much. He’s just a bad politician. Lacking experience. His mistake was to speak in English too. Totally avoidable.

I work with some Ukrainian and Israeli contractors. They are much more direct than the typical American, and there was some cultural calibration that had to happen on both sides of the relationship.

Of course any competent international businessman or seasoned politician would already know this and navigate those cultural differences as a matter of course.
