Imagine the leverage you’d need to have to make “the richest person in the world” do a Hitler salute on live TV. Sure, people who tolerate, much less support, Nazi stuff “are Nazis too” but I’m willing to believe that he might not have actual genocidal / thinking races are subhuman / etc beliefs and if he does, it happened recently - way after he became compromised.

To a certain extent, “bad” people succeed in capitalism and become powerful because of inherent personality traits, and a combination of lack of consequences and privilege creating lack of empathy. But to a much greater extent, I think power is handed to people once enough blackmail material is gathered

The pedophilia shit is not a coincidence.

Reproducing is a way to gain power. On paper, saying smart people need to reproduce is a good goal, but we all know that the zip code of a child is a stronger indicator of their success than many other factors. But yeah if you start saying “only x race should reproduce because x race is smarter” then that’s bad. Republicans are anti abortion and contraception so that they can increase power, too. Having more uneducated people keeps them in power.

Its all about power. Making people racist and abusing that racism for their own is benefit is all part of the distraction. Racism is bad especially when it causes divide and conquer. But I also think we should focus on how those things are tools, and look for ways to prevent the goals that those tools enable.

His lineage is literally the Nazi party, he’s been indoctrinated from birth with that shit, not recently

But to a much greater extent, I think power is handed to people once enough blackmail material is gathered

He was born rich and lucked his way to more riches, simple as. Turns out rich idiots just do bad things, so it’s easy to find out that they’ve done so. Quite literally a requirement in capitalism to be a monster if you want to “win”

Remember when we said that about Bush? This perspective leads to inaction which will allow us to continue down this path. They are actually bad. Have better standards.

I think he wants it removed because of the effect on Tesla. He’d prefer if he could do things without consequences for his actions.

    because it didn’t work.

the whole idea was to trigger the libs with a vague gesture, like that one bitch who turned it into an awkward wave, but he got a little too into it and now people are setting his cars on fire.

Vague gesture? It was a full on nazi salute.

Why are you saying this? Just call it what it is for fucks sake.

      Are you afraid or something?

You can try reading that comment again. Or maybe you replied to the wrong comment, because it doesn’t say anything remotely similar to what you are complaining about.

No. I responded to your comment about “vague gesture”.

Did you already forget what you wrote? Are you suffering from amnesia?

The above commenter is saying that Elon likely tried to be vague about what he was doing, but failed at subtlety and made an obvious Nazi salute.

I think it’s more that he got a bit too excited about the way the far right can get away with absolutely anything. The media will make excuses for you, the fan base will love it, the more outrageous it is the more it makes libs cry. The democrats will impotently voice objections, the Overton window will move as required, and you will have gotten away with it. I think he wanted to be the star of that whole circus.

If you look at the personality organization of malignant narcissists, you learn that their sense of self and even their memory is fragmentary. They’re in the realm of borderline personality organization, which is halfway between neurotic (normal) and schizoid.

This is why it makes sense to them that history should start fresh every day. They don’t connect actions with consequences because their brains are not set up to do that.

Fascism can’t be ignored, that’s how they get power. That’s how Trump became president.

No, Trump became president because the media reported about him every day. Bad news are good news. He could have been ignored and there would have been a different president.

Once in power though, better not ignore it. But who wants to see that it is not Trump who is organizing the fascism?
