I disagree with the big labels, preservation is important and they are not selling this music anyways (at least not as scratchy old 78 recordings) but… I do stream a lot from the archive and I am not alone. There are apps for a ton of live music, all with bands that agreed to it.

But There is even a 78 app for listening to the 78’s.

How about a not hiring example: A class in Urban Ecology and Planning will have a component on equity and inclusion. Historically, marginalized people were subjected to more pollution, more waste, and even evicted to create services and goods for other people. The notion that everyone is a citizen and deserves thoughtful design, access to public services, and equal burden of pollution is a relatively recent idea.

These orders make those discussions go away. Those considerations in planning and design are “divisive” and support “anti American values”. Although that is not the real reason, the real reason is to go back to the way it was before.

Wheelchair access is DEI. Services for the deaf is DEI. Understanding the impact of diesel corridor pollution is DEI. They do not want you to waste resources and time on trying to do better, because it is not better for them.

I see it the other way around. Linux just works, windows is the constant trouble shooting. Look at what you are talking about doing right now.

I have to work with Windows environments, I work with their desktop, servers, and cloud environment. I do it all from a Linux machine because it is reliable and the most predictable. Also the most sensible desktop to work from but that is another conversation.

Just quit using windows. Problem solved.

Nonesense. There is no easier to use and more functional desktop with great user experience than Linux. Been that way a long time. People are just used to poor UX and want more of it.

Basic tools? Drawing in a photo editing tool? That doesn’t make any sense to me. Use krita and draw all you want.

Gimp works great for editing images. Krita works great for drawing on them.

And if you have the name of your business and what you sell on your store front? That’s advertising. Or a card with your name on it to hand out to customers or coupons. That’s advertising. Or logos on clothing or a sign that sits near the road that says SALE. That is advertising.

OP was downvoted for saying the truth, regulation is important, but businesses will fail if they have no way to catch your interest.

In fact it gets worse because small businesses will never be seen because nobody will have heard of them and everyone goes to the big store everyone already knows about.

If anyone really cared, they would just make the hand-washing area open, and private stalls for people to do their business. No need to have Mens/Womens. Many places I have been to do this, and it just works.

Roundup is a pesticide. It is an herbicide, but it also is a pesticide. As are insecticides, fungicides, etc. Pesticide is the catch all, herbicide is the descriptive.
