Living in a vehicle isn’t so bad when you are young. Getting a job picking fruit in the summer is a pretty good way to make money with no education. Lots of places will let you set up on the farm during the harvest. If you work hard and stay money smart you can make enough in summer and fall to get by.

As a young kid I loved Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 and Shining force 2 but at the time it was that or mario or sonic. As the number of game types grew I moved on and never went back.

I dont get too much into the podcasting sphere because most of them just shit me off.

I have issues with Roddric Day of Redsails but most of that is an issue with his personality/writing style. He does “acktchewallly” arguments way too often and sometimes feels like he starts with his conclusions and works backwards. Sometimes I disagree with his conclusions but most of those disagreements are irrelevant because the truth of the matter will work itself out in practice. Other times his analysis is right on the money.

Underrated podcaster/writer I have to give a shout out to is Justin Podur and his substack The Anti-empire Project. His Civilizations series is a really good in-depth leftist analysis of modern geopolitical history. His Gaza sitreps were also really good during the active fighting phase. The whole Tankie Therapy crew are based as fuck.

Its a new engine built from the ground up to run morrowind. Its the best way to play morrowind these days.

Some thoughts:

Throwing a sepia filter on such a bright and colourful game is a travesty. Oblivion isn’t supposed to be “gritty.”

The only reason to update Oblivion is to make it handle more mods.

Well that worked well. Apparently pointing out that immigration is a result of racist colonialism is “mansplaning.” This is why demsocs are called “Social fascists” or why Stalin called them the “moderate wing of fascism.” Its like this person built their political identity in university 20 years ago and never questioned any of those ideas since then. They say they “studied marx” but they have no grasp of historical materialism. They talk about the “nordic model” like it happened in a vacuum and ignore that since the fall of the USSR the Nordic nations severely eroded every advantage they had over the rest of the capitalist nations.

I needed to hear this right now. I’m chipping away at a demsoc and they are way more dem than soc. I had thought they were close to a break through but then they said anti-immigration and racism are just human nature, and I’m like “wow how did I think this was a good person with a few bad ideas?”

I had to try hard to not go off about how racist that is and how they are so racist there is no hope for them. Instead I managed to just point out the latent racism calmly and incorporate it into how a history of how democratic socialism is a dead end and only worked when there was a USSR to play the capitalists off.

We are on the other side of summer and just got the first decent bit of rain in months. Summer seemed to last an extra month and a half and then suddenly the temperature dropped 10 degrees.
