  • I trust you’ve volunteered for it to replace you then. It being so beneficial to society, and all.

It means less people do more work.

And then those people no longer working… do what, exactly? Fewer well-paying jobs, same number of people, increasing costs. Math not working out here.

The fact that people are being replaced means that AI actually has tremendous value for our society.

Oh, it has value. Just not for society (it could that’s the sad part). For very specific people though, yeah, value. Just got to step on all the little people along the way, like we’ve always done, eh?

Yeah, rather than volunteering its more likely you lack a basic characteristic of humanity some of like to refer to as “empathy” instead. And if – giving you the benefit of the doubt – you’re just a troll… well, my statement stands.

  • why we need a moderate candidate just like hillary and kamala.

Screw the “don’t rock the boat” candidates… unless they’re the only option compared to the “let’s destroy America!” candidate on the other side.

Not rocking the boat is better than setting the country on fire for no goddamn reason (if the system were burning down with a reasonable expectation we could make it better that’d be arguably different). I’m sure there are plenty that feel smugly superior for having “protested” by not voting, and I trust you don’t mind the whole “country’s on fire” thing going on (insert “this is fine” meme).

  • and slow rebuilding will start.

And then Democratic voters will get complacent, or get all pissy about how their pet project for change isn’t getting enough attention fast enough, and not vote the next time leading to a Republican getting back in office BECAUSE SURELY THAT WILL HELP THEIR FUCKING PRECIOUS INTERESTS. It worked out so~ well this past Fall, didn’t it? Nothing at all~ to be concerned about, worried about, uncertain about, or terrified about now.

    If Democrats elect competent leaders

Pelosi and Schumer, and all their fanbois (people listening to them even when they aren’t in office), would need to go.

  • Here’s the thing… there’s more of us than there are of them. That’s why they’re so desperate to keep our collective attention elsewhere and to cause division or people might recognize just how strong they could be collectively.

Even collectively we might not have billions of dollars, but it doesn’t take billions to crater a company or an industry. Just takes not paying into the system; it’ll collapse on its own.

I get you can’t boycott everything because you need food and water to survive, but people aren’t helpless.

  • “Gas is too high! Why doesn’t the President just pull the lever to make them not high?!”

Biden releases strategic reserves to lower prices.

“Ye-- Ye-- Well, the price of eggs is too fucking high. Pull that lever! I dare you!”

Hm, we don’t have a strategic egg supply to make simple people happy. This will be a challenge…

Trump claims he’ll lower it by getting elected. How? Who the fuck knows and no one cares.

“Why aren’t the prices lower yet?!”

Well, gosh, it couldn’t have to do with a complex system where there aren’t magic levers one just pulls to make things happen… Guess it’s Trump’s fault. What’s good for the goose (Biden) is good for the gander (Trump), after all.

  • The United States has a history of organizing campaigns to crush terrorist organizations. A month ago, the United States designated six cartels as terrorist organizations, which prompted Mexico to issue a warning about the United States attempting any sort of invasion or incursion. This is also occuring in tandem with the current President of the United States going on about taking Greenland and Panama, and how Canada should be part of the United States, which was also interpreted as a suggestion of a hostile takeover.

And then there are reports of them having been mulling options since November, talk of it by political candidates in 2023, talk by sitting members of Congress and even legislation introduced in support of it within Congress.

Not so curiously, these acts have been exclusively done by Republicans, also known as the Right-Wing.

Of course, if you could show that Democrats were as keen on the idea of invading Mexico, then calling it right-wring would be in error.
