Also demonstrates how much money is wasted by the current approach to addressing the topics. Spoiler: advocates socialism. I bought this book for multiple people because I found it so compelling.
After the Fact: The Truth About Fake News. Argues that we have a fake democracy.
The Jakarta Method. Shows how Indonesia, and other countries, were prepared to rise to the world stage before being cut off at the knees by capitalists. The phrase “third world,” meant third round of ascension (USA, Soviets, now their turn), not “backward.” But we sabotaged them and prevented their assent.
A People’s History of the United States. This is well-known enough that I won’t elaborate.
