i love that after all that time since his first inauguration we’re back at crowd sizes and it’s still literally the only thing he cares about.

The worst part is the empathy in my brain still wants to react with sadness to seeing someone about to cry.

I know this man is pure evil and deserves worse than some hurt feelings. My darn brain doesn’t quite get that.

Sometimes you gotta wonder about how a man who’s buried all possibility of self-reflection reacts to a day like that. Like the next morning when he’s clumsily slathering on orange clown paint in front of the mirror, and he accidentally catches the reflection of his dead eyes looking back at himself, is there the faintest stirring of anything, even just a vague sensation that all of his choices have led him to become the friendless, unloved husk of a human staring down the twilight of his existence?

The man has all the emotional maturity of a toddler. He is only evil insofar as toddlers are evil. That is, he has persistently shown a lack of ability to accept and learn from the negative consequences of his actions.

All he knows is to chase praise, like a toddler chasing a butterfly, unaware of all the ants he’s trampling along the way.

I would cut his head off with a butter knife. Then I would go home, cook myself a steak dinner, and a salad. Sign into my computer. Wack off. And then go to sleep and wake up the next day like nothing happened.

I know this man is pure evil

He is stupid, selfish, egotistical and lazy but if he were pure evil then we would be in much greater trouble .

Nah if he were competent we’d be in worse trouble. The fact that he’s a moron is the one possible saving grace.

Not all psychopaths are antisocial. It’s in your best interest to do the right thing especially when you’re lower in the hierarchy. But to be honest, it’s really the inner circles of a lot of these people that are that real issue. Even Hitler had an inner circle.

Yeah, but what happens when the man child gets angry? Have you seen a toddler not get what they want? You know, some people think about deluminati, and I just think about the consolidation of power and how the scum rises to the top. I think strictly in terms of psychology. We are one year into this shit show.

Too fucking bad? What are you trying to say, that people should have propped up this ancient man who has never actually learned a lesson in his long, shitty life?

Fucking seriously, dude, what the fuck are you saying?

Citizens allow government to hold power under the social contract that their government will take care of them. When the contact is broken all bets are off.

        Citizens hold the power.

What’s actually sad about this is Trump made it about him, but they were going to do this parade anyways, which means the failures are our military and our government. Because you know, those Russian and Chinese parades are pretty fucking insane. Like you might not be for the military doing their little elephant march but you gotta admit especially the Chinese they do that shit in style… the pageantry is on point.

I, for one, want to believe that there are people responsible for this parade that deliberately pulled punches so we don’t go down that path. What was on display was more akin to a living history exhibit, like the Smithsonian itself hired a bunch of costumed actors for the day. If we consider for a moment what an “American-style” propagandized display of full-on military might would actually look like, I am very relieved that the events of the 14th were very, very far removed from all that.

The problem is that pageantry is all that it is. The other dictators that do this may say things like it is just a show of their patriotic pride, but it is, in reality, an indulgence, flexing their power, showing everyone when they jump, they better give me an amazing spectacle, not just jump. Also, behold our arms!
