I last played it when I was was quarantining due to testing positive on COVID-19. Did they add Natlan or Fontaine? Are the characters whiter than the white pharaoh again?
I stopped playing before Sumeru came out, but I keep up by looking at social media posts and watching the occasional YT vid. Fontaine ended up being pretty beloved, while Natlan is still in the trenches rn for being the most hated region so far (but everyone always hates the new region anyway). The characters are pale as hell, which is an insult considering how the region is based on African, South American, and Pacific Islander cultures (which is an insult of itself, why the fuck would you mix 3 very different regions like that? Literally none of the other regions mix completely different cultures, they’re usually just influenced by one, maybe two countries) and a character with a native name will literally be paper white (Mulani… RIP girl).
The head writer got fired or smth and now the guy who was in charge of Honkai 3rd is trying to get Genshin to go back to its roots (read: waifu fest) so we haven’t had a 5 star male character in like a year or some shit, and they keep pumping out bland looking waifus. Why would he try to return to the roots of a game that didn’t do nearly as good as Genshin, I don’t know.
