A different issue is for some is the GOP supporters voted to put people in concentration camps regardless of your personal view on immigration or whether LGBT+ people can exist in public. That’s going to be an issue for some.

While I disagree with the approach of removing immigrants from the country, it raises the question of who allowed them to enter in the first place. Why hasn’t President Biden taken more decisive action to provide a pathway to citizenship for them? Ultimately, the current situation can be traced back to decisions made by the Biden administration. It’s as if we are experiencing a form of collective amnesia when it comes to addressing these issues. I have never heard President Trump make any statements suggesting that LGBTQ+ individuals should not exist.

The GOP has been dead set against any pathway to citizenship for Spanish speaking people not from Spain. It’s always easy to blame POTUS but Congress plays a huge role as well.

If there is no clear path for individuals to gain legal status, why allow them to enter in the first place?
