Clearly its not a rock as it is too smooth to be from nature and has been polished by hand.

Why would a river need a bed? Does it even get tired?

To further the spirit of the topic:

picture: An individual painting, drawing, or other representation on a surface, of an object or objects; esp. such a representation as a work of art. (Now the prevailing sense.)

image: An optical appearance or counterpart of an object, such as is produced by rays of light either reflected as from a mirror, refracted as through a lens, or falling on a surface after passing through a small aperture. Such an appearance may also be a mere subjective impression on the sense of sight, as an after-image (q.v.), and the negative image or accidental image seen after looking intently at a bright-coloured object, and having a colour complementary to that of the object. An image produced by reflexion or refraction is called in Optics a real image when the rays from each point of the object actually meet at a point, a virtual image when they diverge as if from a point beyond the reflecting or refracting body.

The Brotherhood of Stone has been at this for centuries making people believe in rocks. Its the most despicable, heinous, ludicrous conspiracy that has its claws reaching into everything, literally everything. I’ve been researching it for decades and I still haven’t found just how far the rabbit hole goes.

Rocks are not mere pets, do not be so arrogant to think of them as such. You might think of them as tools but you’d be wrong about that was well. We are the tools. We have been tools from the moment a human first picked up on of those profane things. A rock hungers for violence and murder yet lacks the capacity to perform such feats on its own. They use us, like Cain of old, to turn the grindstone wet with blood for goals beyond our understanding.

My first thought was it being an incorrect first line and my brain went “and I’m getting stoned.”

      "She got a rock,

      And I’m gettin’ stoned"

But then had that very programmed feeling of you shouldn’t say that because you aren’t getting stoned and you don’t want people to think of you as getting up and getting stoned on a Saturday morning. Talk about being programmed to fear what other people think.

Anyways Eric Church has a couple songs I liked

You cannot just say this is a ROCK! What type of rock, is it igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic rock, then what rock is it, is it granite or norite. And what is the damn mineralogy, are there any feldspars or over identifiers

It’s a boulder, but just not quite as large as most boulders.

Heh, I think the line in the news article was something like, “a small boulder the size of a large boulder”. I’m inclined to blame the editor rather than the reporter.

It’s not JUST a boulder! It’s a rock! A BIG, BEAUTIFUL, OL ROOOCK. Oh the pioneers used to ride these babies for MILES! And it’s in great shape!
