Name em. If it’s too hard, name those who voted to proceed.
Revolution in the streets everyone! Let’s go if they don’t want change we will give them change.
Americans are the biggest cowards in the world.
What a fucking timeline, this is incredible 😳
“Home of the braves, land of the free”
Home of the cowards, land of the slaves**
Guess we’ll have to kill most of the Dems too then huh.
Not kill, shelve. Let’s be honest, you weren’t going to get dozens of GOP votes in the house and 20 in the senate to remove Trump anyways. If you want Trump gone then the only way is helping the DNCs take a huge midterm majority.
Roll call for this vote if you want to see how your representative voted and perhaps give them some feedback.
Nice so the site is down now what a joke
https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025175
Every Yea an enemy of the rule of law
That’s confusing, given all Republicans voted Nay.
Alternative link corroborating the original article: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2025/h175
I’m not sure what’s going on with the first link, but that website is impossible to navigate for me.
AOC isn’t on the list?
She is. Nay vote
So she voted No to impeach? Fucking for real.
no, the vote was whether to ignore the impeachment, so “no” is the correct vote here
I’m confused… all the Republicans voted nay? What am I missing?
Not sure what’s going on with that website–maybe it going down earlier messed things up? Here’s another (much easier to read) source which corroborates the original article: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2025/h175
This was a vote to table. A no vote is a vote for impeachment, or at least continue the process toward it.
I see her down in the O’s with a Nay vote. (Which, confusingly, is a vote in favor of impeachment, as the vote was to table the motion.)
It seems like either they changed the page, or everyone is having trouble reading it (or maybe I am?). Here’s AOC’s vote on that page, listed as “Yea” for “motion to adjourn”.
The “Nay” vote is listed as winning, but everything about this feels backward, so I’m not sure what to make of it.
They’re no longer serving up the correct vote. The vote to table the impeachment was roll call #175, you can see the number in the URL. It looks like they’re now showing the votes for roll call #178, a vote to adjourn.
Holy crap - We have complicit Oligarchs and not a opposition party. We as the kids say - are cooked.
What exactly do you think the impeachment inquiry will accomplish with a Republican house and senate majority?
The same thing democrats accomplished when they had majorities in both houses. Keeping excuse makers busy.
Service unavailable on my end. I assume due to high demand, not censorship. I hope so at least.
Honestly at this point I feel like censorship is more likely than not.
They all wanted to bomb Iran anyway
The law is clear. It doesn’t matter if it’s politically convenient or likely to succeed. If the President breaks the law, which Trump clearly has, they must be impeached.
2025 America is a post-law country.
At least for the rich and powerful
Always been for the rich and powerful, 2025 isn’t new territory for them.
It’s new that they aren’t even pretending to play by the same rules
That’s fair!
The law means nothing if you’re not willing to enforce it.
They need their heads examined
They need their heads something, to unsociopathy them
It’s just like in the playground; almost everybody want to stand up to the bully, but nobody has the guts. They are afraid the bully will call them names or attack. And when finally one does stand up, the others cowers in a corner.
I’m just waiting for all those gnashing their teeth at this to turn around and tell me “vote blue no matter who” in a couple of years/months.
Exactly, I’m so fucking sick of the DNC’s cowardice. Fuck them, fuck America, fuck the people who voted, left or right. I hope Trump gets his country nuked off the face of the earth, and then we won’t have to deal with these libshit Democrats.
I hope Trump gets his country nuked off the face of the earth, and then we won’t have to deal with these libshit Democrats.
You don’t know what you’re talking about.
It’ll happen in the midterms, where suddenly we’re mesnt to ignore the last 6 years of policies from them and next year they’ll let Charlie kick the orange football.
I mean, things would be better if we had more Dems in Congress. Definitely not perfect, not even good enough, but slightly better than this shit show.
There might be more stuff you can do in addition to voting that people don’t want to discuss or encourage in public channels for a variety of reasons regardless of whether or not they would actually support that kind of stuff, but you may as well also vote if you can.
Call your representative and tell them you won’t vote for them if they don’t support impeachment.
would ya baby?
Ah, the Geronocrats. Always been a disappointment throughout my entire life, before and after I became eligible to vote.
The political system is completely fucked. A 3rd party might help, but it seems fairly inevitable that they too will become like the democrats as financial interests and lobbying corrupt them against the will of the working class. I think going grassroots with direct action is currently the best way to both resist, and build horizontal decentralized power that isn’t prone to corruption.
- find local communities and get involved to make connections
- We can effect things drastically with a general strike. This targets the establishment’s income streams, and can bring a fascist government to its knees if done on a large enough scale.
- Contact a union and attempt to unionize your workplace so that the general strike is even more effective (plus, ya know, better pay and working conditions as a bonus!)
This method would not only work in the US, but anywhere in the world.

- Continuing to participate in publicly visible resistance demonstrations like 50501 to encourage others to stand up with you and prove to that there are millions of others who will join them in the fight. A large part of Nazi Germany’s success in taking over the country was a lack of massive public demonstrations against the new regime, making people feel helpless and afraid to take a stand.
If we put in the work, we can resist this and we can win. Look at how effective these methods were when used in Chile in 2019.. If we completely reject the political system and rebel on a mass scale, there is NOTHING they can do to stop us.
Oh yeah cause it went so well for Chile. There was a government turnover and it fragmented the political parties so much that no one can agree on anything anymore.
Oh and the new people in power are learning by improvising.

Oh yeah cause it went so well for Chile.
Coups can be resisted.
If by coup you mean the rich trying to get richer, yeah the resistance worked.
The problem came afterwards, when the people were handed the power to actually change something it became a circus.
So the rich didn’t get the chance to make ridiculous changes like in the US right now. But all we were left with was status quo.
No I meant the literal cia-backed coup
I don’t disagree that it ended badly, but had the movement not been pacified by the government’s bait of reform and a new constitution, it could’ve been revolutionary.
Your people showed the incredible potential of collective power and collective civil disobedience. The documentary shows both the victories, and the failures to learn from, just as Hong Kong did.
Hence why I won’t be voting for my Dem Rep in the next election we may have. Fuck that collaborator bitch.
You think voting independent will help?
I think we’re beyond help.
Exactly. Best we can do is try to limit damage
Maybe those we elect should vote to limit damage then.
Voting for Dems demonstrably hasn’t helped. It would be a good idea to try a different tactic
Well for a different tactic, how about supporting a more progressive candidate in the primary? Just look at the NYC mayoral primary that just happened.
Voting third party has a much stronger track record for not helping a damned thing
